Position Summary
Researches, develops, designs, and tests a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes\. Supervisory and administrative responsibility over a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced concepts, techniques, and standards\. Responsibilities include assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel, and technical quality\.
+ Supervise and direct mechanical personnel assigned to the project team
+ Monitor all engineering activities to assure conformance with company work instructions and SOPs
+ Ensure adherence to client and/or company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice
+ Perform calculations and evaluations of various equipment and systems
+ Define and provide input on staffing and scheduling for the team's engineering and design effort
+ Ensure that the technical content of the inquiry/PO is appropriately reviewed, approved, and transmitted
+ Coordinate and participate in the development of mechanical engineering effort\-hour estimates
+ Monitor the effort\-hour budget, staffing plan, and schedule to ensure that project objectives are met, and execution is within the approved budget
+ Responsible for reporting on equipment status to the project manager and department manager, and performing monthly or bi\-weekly assessments of progress
+ Establish the mechanical equipment list and maintain the technical content through regular updates
+ Initiate PDNs \(Project Deviation Notices\) that impact the mechanical effort\-hour budget and/or schedule
+ Coordinate and cooperate with the lead engineers of other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of all information on the project task force, and to ensure alignment with project requirements
+ Conduct weekly status meetings with the mechanical team to convey department news, assess and discuss project issues, coordinate/plan key milestone efforts, etc\.
+ Responsible for obtaining cost related information and developing scope of work documents for estimates
+ Establish/maintain proper interface with Client's representatives throughout the life of the project
Qualifications
+ Recognized Bachelor?s degree or Master?s degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University required
+ 15 years of experience with engineering design of chemical plants and/or onshore oil and gas production facilities is required
+ Working knowledge of applicable codes \(ASME, API, ASCE, etc\)
+ Familiarity with various project phases and the scope/deliverables required
+ Advanced MS Office skills \(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\) required
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills required
+ Registered Professional Engineering license preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
